The Trailblazers- LA, USA

The Trailblazers were established in October 2018 but sadly, to this day have only managed to do this one project. The second was planned for 2020, but due to Covid-19 pandemic, had to be postponed. The group is funded by and delivered with the University of Southern California, in close collaboration with The Urban Voices choir, which is a community choir on 'Skid Row'. 'Skid Row' is the name given to the area that forms the heart of the homeless community in Los Angeles. In October 2018 the group worked together for 4 days and co-created four brand new pieces of music, which were performed on the UCS campus and at the Skid Row Art Centre. We really look forward to the day when we can reconnect with our wonderful friends in Los Angeles.
